I have used Marie Hewitt at the Window Dresser for a long time and I am always happy with the quality and the service provided by these wonderful women. What I have found especially useful is that home visits to measure your window is never an issue, ensuring that there are never any nasty surprises with your own measurements!

Fitting your chosen drapes or blinds is also included in the price, meaning that they are displayed to perfection the first time. The only problem is that they have too many beautiful fabrics to choose from and I can never make up my mind. Luckily, you can ask to take fabric books home to test the colours, textures and patterns against the room you are dressing before making a decision and you then receive a complementary fabric swatch from the supplier to make doubly sure! All in all, the only place in Plymouth I would visit

I was recommended to ‘Marie Hewitt’ by Cornish Interiors, and I have been absolutely delighted with all the advice, and everything they have made for me.  They provide a very professional but personal and relaxed service, talking through ideas and options whether it is blinds, curtains, upholstery, headboards or even advice on paint and carpet colours. Well, probably he wouldn’t, but when the search for some bedroom curtains to replace old ones which were worn out brought me into contact with Marie Hewitt, I was inspired by the fabrics, colours and furniture with which she was surrounded and decided to have a complete bedroom ‘makeover’! An early ‘site visit’ and relaxed discussion resulted in a plan for some minor structural work and new fabrics and paintwork throughout. A detailed and well-presented estimate followed with a price which I can only describe as entirely reasonable.

The work was carried out with skill and efficiency and I was particularly impressed by the care and concern which were shown to me throughout. Even more impressive is the finished result. I now have a bedroom in the minimalist style which I wanted with lovely muted colours, entirely conducive to sleep!
