Venetian Blinds for Child Safety

August 2017

In the summer a client contacted us for advice on their old, broken, ‘office’ style vertical blinds throughout their bedrooms, conservatory and kitchen – they wanted to replace them with a blind that was practical, let in lots of light, as well deflect the sun if required and most importantly, a dressing that was safe to have around their baby.  After an initial visit, it was decided that a selection of wooden and metal Venetian and Intu blinds would be the best solution and tick all of the boxes – the wooden Venetians would be installed in the bedrooms and the metal blinds would be fitted in the conservatory and kitchen, for practicality.  We worked with the clients to decide on colours that would work best in all of the rooms, for continuity and to fit in with the new design schemes and existing curtains.

A few weeks later, along with our fitters we removed all of the broken, dated vertical blinds that were no longer required and installed the clients new Venetian and Intu blinds.  The difference these new dressings made was huge – they softened the rooms and brought them up to date instantly.  The clients were thrilled with the end result and couldn’t believe the difference they made to each room: “…today they installed the blinds and I couldn’t be happier- they removed old vertical blinds and did 4 rooms in one morning to a high standard and the result is incredible. My house looks new and much brighter…”
