Sea View in Downderry

February 2018

This project was a pleasure to work on.  We met with the clients before Christmas, when they were in the finishing stages of their new house build in Downderry, to discuss what window dressings would work at this window.  They did not want to detract from the beautiful sea view, but enhance it with lovely fabric – we agreed curtains would work best here, with a simple brushed chrome curtain pole.  An understated header ‘double hook’ was selected to allow for maximum stack back.

The clients originally selected a plain fabric, which complimented the colour of the sea, but at the last minute changed their minds and decided to have this gorgeous, sunny Linwood ‘Tropicana’ fabric.  It was absolutely the right decision and the finished look is just stunning.

In the same space, our clients had a custom built dining seating bench, which required box seat cushions.  We templated the area and created bespoke, piped cushions in a firm foam, using Linwood’s washable Pronto fabric.  The colour of these complimented the curtain fabric, as well as the spectacular view and kitchen.  This project definitely gave us house envy!
