Holiday Homes in North Cornwall

January 2016

This project saw us working on 2 holiday lets for Martha’s Orchard in Cornwall, with Cornish Interiors, where we supplied 12 pairs of curtains & 19 roman blinds, as well as scatter cushions, curtain poles and venetian blinds.  Fabrics from a variety of suppliers carried the coastal interiors throughout both houses, with soft ticking from Ian Mankin, blue stripes from Elanbach and fun fish patterns from GP & J Baker’s ‘Waterside’ collection.

Curtains – With Cathryn Bishop choosing the fabrics for her design scheme, we recommended triple pleat headers on all pairs of curtains to add richness to the windows.  Each were floor length, blackout lined and interlined to create extra fullness – they were then draped on to Byron and Byron curtain poles, with Beehive Finials that we fitted.

Roman Blinds – We installed a number of roman blinds with various pelmets to disguise the blind headrail and complete the treatment.  In bathrooms, fabric pelmets were used and where possible, we fitted wooden pelmets, which were caulked into the walls and painted in the same colour as the frames/surrounding wall.

Bespoke scatter cushions for the bedrooms were made with leftover fabrics for an eclectic and finished look.
